Ok, the site said that if I was a user of seti@home (aka: classic seti@home) before May '04 that my account with BOINC was already created using my 'classic' data. All I had to do is activate it. So I installed BOINC and have it running, but it shows my total credit as 0. I thought that it was suppose to link to my data for my classic seti? So if I install BOINC on all my systems and uninstall the seti classic, I am starting all over again? I was kinda proud of seeing the number of work units my systems had processed. Anyway of getting BOINC to show the total number of units for seti@home users, both classic and BOINC? |

I think they said there was no way to do that. They will have the total classic credits you ended with but when you start BOINC, you are starting clean. |

Your "Account Data" page shows 2,776 classic workunits as of 14 May 04, this will be updated when classic ends. "Total Credit" refers to SETI BOINC and starts from scratch. |

Thanks all. Well at least BOINC seems to make better use of the processor. Should be caught back up to my classic rank in just a little over a year. |
