as a rough guide, find your average credit for the past say 10 wu's then divide your total credit by that number, so for you if your average credit was 30 cobbles then 13290 divided by 30 is 443 wu's,
i'm sure this can't be to far out.

Actually your RAC is not relevant here since it takes into account the frequency of your returned results. In a post given in the last couple of days someone (sorry forgot who) suggested that the average workunit gave about 32 cobblestones credit. Thus, dividing one's total by about 30 to 35 will give you a rough estimate of the total number of workunits completed (this of course would be different for other projects).

Note though that he said "find your average credit for the past say 10 wu's" (not recent average credit) =) RAC will most certianly not work like you said, but the average credit that you get on a WU will work fine. Dividing by 32 like you said should be a lot faster than finding your personal average granted credit though :D

as of 8:30AM EST in the US you have returned 51 units!
click on my name in the left colum, click on computers view, click on one of them, scroll down and you will see how many results it has returned.

That's not correct. They delete the very old stuff, and so it's just the amount of WUs in the last ~1 month. with me it's 81, but the oldest is from 14. jan. 05. And I started 26. Oct. 04.

I don't know about the stats pages, whether they know, but here you do not have it.

Well, that count may be true for now, but as time goes on and the file-deleter purges old WUs, that value will change.

e.g. The system I've had running the longest, and which has the most credit, only shows 104 results as of today. Doing a little math: 26543/104 = 255.22+ credits per WU (which is a rediculous number).

I don't know if BOINC tracks total WUs returned or not.

[EDIT]
Darn you Sänger...you beat me to it. (or maybe I'm just getting too old and slow).
