Both boinc client and boinc setiathome are installed
and the project is correctly configured

the problem is my station is behind a proxy

even all variable set (HTTP_PROXY, SOCKS_SERVER...)
or manually entered in the appropriate fields in client_state.xml and client_state_prev.xml

anytime i start boinc-client (command-line like or by the script) it try to access DIRECTLY to the project server:

pcmartino2# netstat -an
Active Internet connections (including servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
tcp4 0 0 192.168.126.254.53330 128.32.18.152.80 SYN_SENT

pcmartino2# host 128.32.18.152
152.18.32.128.IN-ADDR.ARPA domain name pointer klaatu.SSL.Berkeley.EDU

what's going on? why it doesn't request the proxy socks or web that are configured ?

i have finally discovered what's going on...
i simply missed a line on client_state.xml, under the (proxy_info)
adding (use_http_proxy/) under thats section solve the problem...

info found deeper in this forum...
thanks anyway.
