Is there anywhere that will show any BOINC projects that are in the pipeline? I read on the BOINC developement list that there are possibly about 11 in total. Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Thanks, David |

Right at the moment, we only have 4 that are issuing work and are open and available. CPDN Einstein@Home (very short deadlines so this may not be a good one to use) Predictor@Home SETI@Home I don't have a good list of links, I need to make one up I guess ... I DO reccomend that you pick at least two off the list. My best recommendation is to pick one or two of the fast type, and CPDN as the WU are long (about a month) and this practice will ensure that you will never lack for work. Also coming back on line, soon we hope, is LHC@Home. All other projects, like "The Lattice Project" are in one form or another of Alpha test and are "hidden" at this time. |

Predictor@home is also in alpha or something, but is open signup at this time. LHC is released, but limited partizipation, and is currently down for testing after server-upgrades. So if you're not interested in doing alpha/beta-testing, the only choises is CPDN and SETI@home at this time. |

> I've been trying to register with E@H, but it doesn't seem to really be open? Einstein@Home is in "final beta test" and is not open yet. It should open "soon". It has a few thousand crunchers now. I am one of them, because I signed up at http://www.physics2005.org/cgi-bin/wyp.cgi?ID=1000 a long time ago (about a year, I think). You can try to sign up on this page. Check the "lab rats" box and you may be invited for the beta test. If not, you will be notified when registration does open. There is some talk at the E@H message boards about allowing people who signed up using this page to start crunching a few days early (before registration opens) as a "thank you". Don't complain if they don't. If you know someone (maybe a team member) who has gotten more than one e-mail from E@H with an account, or who doesn't want to use it, you may "take over" that account. Login and change the name and the email address and it's yours. E@H encourages this. They do want test users, but right now they want to keep the number of users in check, too. |

Last I heard (or think I heard/read) was that Einstein was going to open up for a total of 5,000 new users. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm in error, or if something has changed. tony |

They sent a lot of emails with account keys to people who had indicated their interest. I have been playing with the account numbers on the Einstein site, the highest number at the moment is 7436. And from the sign-up dates, they must have sent out some more batches of emails on later dates. So probably they are slowly increasing to 10000 registered users. |
