I'm presently running the Seti@home BOINC screensaver program, but wish to also run the Folding@home BOINC screensaver program. Will the fact that I choose to run both of these programs in the screensaver mode matter? Will the screensaver of each work together and not cancel eachother out? Thanking you all in advance |

Also, if you happen to run a project with no screen saver there is a default BOINC screensaver that will run. |

Thanking you > all in advance Since Folding@Home is not yet available as a BOINC Science Application the answer would be no. The two programs are going to "compete" with each other for the idle time, and for the screen. The only way you could do this is to run one on one computer and one on another. Or, install, remove, and switch with another install and remove. Hopefully, they are (Folding@Home) working on a BOINC version. if you have a Pre-Beta version of Folding@Home to run under BOINC you will not have the foregoing problem. |
