Is it just me or is anyone else having problems updating their forum preferences? I cannot get it to accept updates...

Well the ignore list works :)

Seriously? Have I offended everyone so much that I'm on ignore? If that is the case I's surely like to know what it is I said...

Not you silly.. If you were on my ignore list do you think I would seriously waste my time viewing your message :)

Course I do understand why you may have taken my post the way you did and I apologize for that..

The preferences were locked, I'm not sure if it was intentional or part of integrating some new features (backend). The Dev team has a lot on their plate right now and the boards are kinda low priority (the science should come first).

Check the front page, they're hammering away at bringing a new DB server online, mirroring the older DB box to enable some of the functions they've shut off. They're preping to turn off Classic, while fighting software/hardware issues, and some of the Seti crew is working on getting other projects on line (there's something like 8 of them pre-alpha, and a few still in Alpha).

It might be irratating sometimes, but I still prefer it to other projects out there. So I'll just remain patient.

Still looking for something profound or inspirational to place here.

Wolf, my bad. I didn't think you meant it like that but I know I can be kind of obnoxious sometimes...

As for the specific problem, it will not let me add an avatar.

Forced size of 100x100 pixels
format: jpg/png - size: at most 4k

If the avatar is too big in size it wont upload it. You can get away with a few extra K if its a PNG file.

If you're having trouble converting your avatar ask Captain Avatar for help.

Well good for you! :-)

Most people dont have their cache set to 0. If they could figure that out
then they would. But you have to be tech savvy to work with your system..

Strange... in this thread the left column is correct.
In Avatar Test and other threads the left column is screwed.

EDIT: My current avatar is an 8K PNG.

Cant send it to you... its gone the way of the recycle bin as all the other previous Milla's. They've always been over the 4K limit and even though SETI reconverts it to a JPG it still has all the quality of the original.
