Hi all,

I have:
sun:/usr/bin# cd /proc/
sun:/proc# cat cpuinfo
cpu : TI UltraSparc IIe
fpu : UltraSparc IIe integrated FPU
promlib : Version 3 Revision 0
prom : 4.0.6
type : sun4u
ncpus probed : 1
ncpus active : 1
Cpu0Bogo : 799.53
Cpu0ClkTck : 0000000017d78400
MMU Type : Spitfire

and I try:
sun:/home/boinc# ls
boinc_3.18_sparc-sun-solaris2.7
sun:/home/boinc# bash
sun:/home/boinc# ./boinc_3.18_sparc-sun-solaris2.7
bash: ./boinc_3.18_sparc-sun-solaris2.7: No such file or directory
sun:/home/boinc#

Could someone give me a clue on this please.
Thanks
Stephane

If you give commands as root (bad habit!) you must start them like this: ./command. This on bash in Linux but probably also in Solaris.

Are you sure that you use the correct software version?

You try to start the boinc executable for Solaris but to me it looks like you are using Linux on sparc hardware (at least I never saw /proc/cpuinfo on any Solaris machine).

Try to get a executable for linux on sparc (something named like boinc__sparc--linux-gnu) or take the sources and compile it yourself.

I am actually running Debian Sarge on it.
It's a Sun Netra X1.
I am going to compile it myself, and see what happens.
