The News RSS feed does not seem to work very well. All I get for titles are "Project News" and then the date - not very informative. And all the entries take you to the current News page.

What WOULD be useful is a real S@H RSS feed giving short titles on entries covering new software versions, server news, major events (power outages, discovery of intelligent extraterrestrial life, that sort of thing), etc.

Again, I love the whole SETI project, and the idea of S@H, but as the S@H is currently run, I feel like not enough attention has been given to working with the people running S@H, making there interaction with the project relatively easy and satisfying, giving them what they need and making them feel like valuable members of the project. What I see seems too much like treating volunteers like cannon-fodder, leading to burn out / dissatisfaction - issues that other volunteer-based organizations are doing more to address.

I suspect that the staff of the S@H project are aware of these problems/issues, and are not addressing them because they simply don't have the time/money to do so - like to hire someone to revamp the website and include things like sensible RSS feeds, etc.

Maybe some grant applications need to go out - but I know how much time it takes to do THOSE. A vicious cycle...
