This is probably a common question but I just can't seem to find the answer. In the Boinc tab 'Work', I've completed a task. But when I click over to Project, it says that I have no credit. Is finishing a work project related to the credit you receive?

Yes but it must be varified by at least 2 other computers before it will actually be granted.

Getting credit goes like this:

1. Reporting the WU's is needed,
2. Once this is done your credits are claimed,
3. Your results must be compared to the results of 2 other PC's,
4. If these results matches, then credit is granted.

Therefore, getting credit can take up to 2 weeks if everything is working fine.

You can also have a look at The BOINC Software and Credit.
