Trying to modify one of my posts, I got following:

You can no longer edit this post.
Posts can only be edited at most 60 minutes after they have been created.


If somebody wants to edit his post he must be quick otherwise it will not work anymore.

Some people here abused the post-editing feature. They made inflamatory statements (esp. down in the cafe) then edited them later to remove the 'evidence'. One hour is surely enough time to correct typos.

I agree KWSN & I have stated about the same thing a few times ... 60 Min should be more than enough time to edit a post, after that let the evidence stand as posted ...

Yes, just "suck it up" and admit you changed your mind or made a mistake if you don't like what you posted and can't edit it. Most everyone that posts here is open minded enough to allow one to change their mind or opinion. And that's good!

I have noticed this as well. I tried to make changes (add) information about a certain WU - the only way was to re-post the whole message!
In generall I guess 60 minutes is enough...

You don't necessarily need to re-post the whole message... you could just add on to it by making another post saying something to the effect of "Oh, and I meant to add..." ..y'know? :-)
