I've noticed during the last 10 days or so some significant differences between when I upload a completed WU and when SETI says it has received the file. Here's my last several uploads: The Date Uploaded is from my log; the Date Received is from my Results page, and the Delay is the rounded-off difference between the two in hours. Result Work Unit Date Uploaded (UTC) Date Received (UTC) Delay (Hours) 26345073 7044074 1/3/05 18:02 1/6/05 13:35 67 27297618 7269060 1/6/05 6:55 1/6/05 13:35 4 27297621 7269066 1/7/05 4:24 1/9/05 4:11 48 27297638 7269072 1/7/05 18:22 1/9/05 4:11 34 27932578 7414170 1/8/05 10:36 1/9/05 4:11 17 27932599 7412652 1/8/05 21:57 1/9/05 4:11 6 27932581 7412648 1/9/05 12:20 1/12/05 5:22 65 28537740 7540626 1/10/05 4:09 1/12/05 5:22 49 28537763 7540633 1/10/05 20:45 1/12/05 5:22 32 28537766 7540631 1/11/05 4:18 1/12/05 5:22 25 28537743 7540628 1/11/05 11:12 1/12/05 5:22 17 28539091 7540952 1/11/05 21:44 1/12/05 5:22 7 28539094 7540954 1/12/05 5:14 1/12/05 5:22 0 28539098 7540955 1/12/05 15:09 1/14/05 3:43 36 It appears that my uploads are just going into a "holding area" and then SETI is "receiving" every two or three days. Is this caused by the server problems the last two weeks or so, or ??? C Join Team MacNN |

Completion time is based on when the results are reported, not when uploaded. If you look at completed WU's in BOINCs Work tab, you'll see they're "Ready to Report". They aren't considered complete until that happens. EDIT: Look in the log for messages like: Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded Thats when the results get reported. |
