...hmm.. might ask for the world next... anyway would it be possible for the screensaver to use directX accelerated graphics? considering that it is 3d after all.. it would take much load off the cpu and allow more analisis to be done but still be able to get a decent frame rate.. also would it be possible to include a user specified memory use amount? im tired of my hdd thrashing all the time... --sam ID: 5195 ·  |

You can specify in your account settings how often you want BOINC to save to disk. The default is 60 seconds. I wouldn't really consider every 60 seconds "thrashing". Or are you saying the screensaver causes your HD to thrash? <a> ID: 5202 · |
