Hey Guys!

I've some problems.

The first one:
I installed Boinc this morning on my laptop. It works fine but it does'nt run with full speed.
Its a Mobile Pentium 4 with 2.4GHz but the max speed which I get is 1.6GHz (viewed via the system control panel). I set the energy restrictions to maximum power but I didn't get it. Has anyone else this problem?

The second one:
I made seperate prefs for Boinc on work and home. The Boinc client gets this prefs correctly and follows them in some ways. But all what I want is, that Boinc is idle if the PC is in use or in case of the laptop on battery but this dosen't work. Seems it to be a bug?

On the second question: The suspend type prefs seem to only work if they are your general settings and you have no venue specific settings. Yes it is a bug. I have been trying to gather data for a good detailed bug report but with the servers being spotty I have not been able to.

You may have a throttle-down feature enabled in the bios, that will slow down the cpu when not in use, in order to save power.

The throttle down is enabled and usefull, but the cpu should go back to max power and not only 1.6Ghz if it is in use for several hours by 100%.

The throttle up an down problem is now resolved. I just installed a new bios version and now it works fine. Under full cpu load it now works with 2.4GHz, otherwise with 1.53Ghz or lower. I'm glad...
